If you are celebrating the New Year with a new special someone, don't just hang around  your apartment in Lyncburg, VA. There are some fun and different ways to do that. Tired of first nights and pub crawls? Here are some ideas for a fun and memorable New Year’s Eve date.

Ski all night
Book a hotel room, or two,  at a ski resort or drive to one, and spend the night skiing. At midnight you can gather with other skiers in the lodge, or go to your room for a private New Year’s celebration. Celebrating New Year’s Eve skiing is a unique way to ring in the New Year.  

Make reservations
New Year’s Eve is great for a romantic dinner, but be sure to make reservations. You don’t necessarily have to go to a “fancy” place. You can skip the overpriced places and go somewhere fun.

Look good an sexy
Even if you’re not planning to go anywhere on New Year’s Eve, don’t deny yourself the pleasure of wear something sparkly or a little bit sexy, you should look good. Your date will definitely notice and appreciate the extra effort and it adds to the atmosphere.

Have a Living Room Picnic
Make a romantic picnic meal in front of the fire in your living room, replete with candles and champagne. Have loads of pillows and make the area cozy and comfortable. If you are watching the NYE countdown you need to at least do it right. Wear a festive hat and be sure to kiss every time Dick goes to commercial or says “New Year’s Eve.”

Drink champagne
The key to a perfect New Year’s Eve is the setting. I know I do. Stage a romantic New Year’s interlude. All you need is a bottle of champagne, two glasses, and someone that you really like.
